The Glass Slipper Project

Last year I saw a news report on this organization that provides prom dresses to Juniors and Seniors from low income families free of charge, and contacted them to volunteer.

This year I am going to help them set up the boutique where they display and distribute the prom dresses. They are only going to be open three weekends, but are planning to give away thousands of dresses and accompanying accessories.

They only allow women to staff the boutique when the student Cinderellas come to shop. If you are in the Chicago Area and are available April 2nd, 9th or 16th please contact them to help be a assist as a “personal shopper”.

The Glass Slipper Project accepts donations of formal dresses, shoes, purses, jewelry and unopened cosmetics and hosiery. Visit their website for information on making a donation or volunteering.
