This afternoon I volunteered for the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts and helped at the South Gate. This year the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts showcases more than 150 juried artists featuring world class original paintings, sculpture, photography, furniture, jewelry and more.
Artists in almost every medium will be represented including photography, printmaking, mixed media, ceramics, clay, collage, fiber, glass, sculpture, furniture and more. Unique and original artwork is on sale in all price ranges.
I greeted people as they came in the South Gate at Belmont and Broadway, and gave a raffle ticket to those who made the five dollar suggested donation. The weather was really nice and there were a lot of people coming and going. After my shift I walked through the fest and saw many interesting pieces of art. They were out of my budget, but it was free to look!
This was my thirty-eighth activity, now only 12 to go.
